Each year, Nielsen releases its annual consumer data reports. For their 2017 initiative, Nielsen wanted to encourage Latinos to participate in their data studies to get a better representation of the Latino experience. During our initial research, we learned that a particular pain point for Latinos is the assumption that everyone who speaks Spanish comes from the same place. Representation matters, and although Latinos share values, we come from an array of places, have different skin tones and hair textures, and come in all shapes and sizes. So it was important to us that this campaign remind our audience to celebrate what makes Latinos so diverse. To accomplish our goal, we reached out to prominent Latinos in the entertainment industry to share their experiences.
